Painting is about knowing where you've been and where you're going. Its about using the experiences from your childhood as motivation to create a work of art that documents who you are and where you were. Painting's document our lives as we continue to create them. We paint for ourselves, our families, our friends and the places of our youth. We use the experiences of our personal history to create objects that become relics or clues to our past. 

Construction and Decay are evident in my work as a metaphor for the desire in humans to advance, and the consequences that come as a result of progress.
