Painting is truly human thing. It has a full deep history that is full of complexities. It has strong roots in academics, although this has been mostly misplaced in today's public institutions. I am working to revive this tradition and understanding, one that still holds truth and relevance even in todays fast past society.

A picture is worth a thousand words is that old adage, because it is a difficult thing to tell a story without using words. The artist's job is to entice his/her audience, to transfer an emotion, to excite the senses: ultimately to make a statement. Although it(the statement) is often times poetic, or vague; I fight to a better understanding. I do this to excel and to strive for a better art, a connection with others, and a belief that this somehow makes us all better. Its hard work, that takes a strong dedication and belief in oneself and others.

Although many would argue that the better art has past us, and the 'masters secrets' will forever allude us: I am a firm believer that our generation, like others before us and those that come after, deserve good art. This is something that I strive for.
